UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre

UNSW is pleased to announce that our Fitness and Aquatic Centre (UNSW FAC) will be reopening under new management in time for Term 1, 2021.

Clublinks, a leading Australian leisure, communities, fitness and sports management company managing 11 sites across Australia, will now operate the UNSW FAC. Clublinks has operational experience with other large sports facilities, including other tertiary education facilities and our neighbouring Centennial Parklands Sports Centre.

Under Clublinks’ management, you can expect to experience a revitalised centre, with a friendly and vibrant environment focused on student and community engagement, ensuring adherence to any required COVID-19 considerations.

The reopened UNSW FAC will focus on building the diversity of its community with an emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility. Future developments such as technological integration and social sport programs will make the centre appealing to all members of the UNSW community. UNSW’s sporting teams will be welcomed back to the centre, which will retain its role as the home of a rich assortment of clubs and societies at the University. Integrated allied health facilities, including exercise physiologists, will be available to members of the UNSW FAC, promoting the practice of ‘exercise as medicine’.

The UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre will reopen with a soft launch during O-week. Full access to facilities will be available by the commencement of Term 1 on 17 February 2021.

You can sign up from Wednesday 20 January here. Please note previous members will need to reapply for membership in 2021.

We look forward to welcoming our community back to UNSW’s fantastic fitness and aquatic facilities.
