Do you know where to find the Sources of Truth at UNSW?

You can easily find them on our Sources of Truth at UNSW Confluence resource.

At some point, you may need to know who is responsible for a certain information system at UNSW, such as PiMs or SiMs, or you might need to find out who ‘owns’ certain types of data, such as student or HR information.

To make finding this information quicker and easier, the Data and Information Governance Office (DIGO) in the UNSW Planning & Performance Unit has created a Sources of Truth at UNSW resource in Confluence.

The resource is actively maintained by the DIGO and provides information about key information systems used at UNSW, including:

  • System name
  • Purpose of system
  • Business system owner
  • Contact person for the system owner
  • Data owner
  • Technical system owner (within UNSW IT)
  • System criticality.

Visit the Sources of Truth at UNSW resource. You’ll need your zID and password to access Confluence, and a VPN connection if you’re off campus.

If you have any related queries or update requests, you can contact the Data and Information Governance Office at datagov@unsw.edu.au.
