UNSW staff and students will have discounted entry when Randwick Rugby Club takes on Sydney University for the inaugural Poivedin-Farr-Jones Cup.
University rivalry will hit the rugby field on 4 August at Coogee Oval for UNSW Day when UNSW’s partner club Randwick take on Sydney University for the inaugural Poivedin-Farr-Jones Cup in the NSW Shute Shield.
UNSW Day is another celebration of the educational partnership between Randwick Rugby Club and UNSW Sydney. All UNSW staff and students will receive discounted entry of $10 to the Coogee Oval clash upon presentation of their University ID at the gate.
Donated by UNSW Sport, the Poivedin-Farr-Jones Cup honours Simon Poivedin and Nick Farr-Jones, two World Cup winners and all-time great Wallabies with wonderful histories at UNSW and Randwick Rugby Club, and Sydney University respectively. The awarding of the Cup to the winning team will become an annual tradition each season when Randwick host Sydney University in the NSW Shute Shield.
