Managing your UNSW profile is about to get easier

UNSW is upgrading the Identity Manager with significant enhancements to self-service and your ability to set up, change or reset your UNSW online identity.

Identity and access management will now be a simpler process using a single password thanks to upgrades to the UNSW Identity Manager.

Email addresses will be retired, not recycled, after a staff member leaves the University. This will ensure each email address is unique and provide greater security. Staff will also be able to use the self-service feature to send a password reset to a registered email address or mobile phone number.

What do I need to do?

To assist in the upgrading process, ensure all your UNSW records are up to date, including registered email addresses and mobile phone numbers in myUNSW under Personal Information.

To facilitate the upgrade of Identity Manager, myUNSW, SIMS, and the PLuS Alliance website will be unavailable from 7:00 am - 12:00 pm Saturday, 21 September. Moodle will not be impacted.

An FAQ page will be published when the new Identity Manager goes live from 22 September or you can contact the UNSW IT Service Centre on the below details for more information.
