Learn how to respond in an emergency

Our annual emergency preparedness exercises have commenced across the campus.

As part of our continued drive to enhance UNSW’s emergency response capabilities, the Emergency Management team conduct annual emergency preparedness exercises, including trial evacuations and lockdowns of all buildings. These exercises are designed to ensure UNSW meets legislative requirements and the UNSW community understands what’s required when a real emergency occurs.

If you’re in a building when these exercises are taking place, you must participate and follow the instructions from Emergency Coordinators, Wardens, Security and other people leading the exercise.

Watch the emergency preparedness and response video to find out how to respond, the people who can assist, and the systems available to support you in an emergency.

The exercises are expected to be completed by the end of July.

If you have any questions regarding these exercises, please contact your Chief Warden or emergency@unsw.edu.au
