Are you considering an application in this year’s Associate Professor promotion round?
Applications for promotion to Associate Professor are now open. If you’re a Senior Lecturer or equivalent Academic Research staff (Level C) you can submit an application for promotion to Associate Professor / Academic Research staff (Level C).
In support of your application, 2020 documentation should be used and can be found here. All applicants should read the ‘Academic Promotions Policy and Procedures 2020’ before completing the relevant forms. A ‘Summative Peer Review of Teaching’ is a mandatory requirement for those who have formal teaching responsibilities. In addition, you can find more information on our Academic Promotions Policy here and our Academic Promotions Procedure here. Please consult with your Head of School before submitting an application. Promotion applications will be assessed entirely on merit. The majority of promotion interviews will be held between 1-31 July, and we advise that you consult with your respective Dean’s Unit regarding the scheduling of interviews before committing to any planned overseas travel.
An Information Session has been organised by Human Resources to assist potential applicants. This will be held on Monday 23 March from 9.00am – 3.30pm in the Council Chambers. Registration is not essential. We invite you to turn up on the day.
Applications must be lodged with your respective Dean’s Unit by Monday 18 May 2020.
