There’s a new, streamlined way to progress educational technology ideas at UNSW.
The GUIDE Ideas Portal is a new single entry point for UNSW staff to share EdTech ideas to improve teaching and learning.
The portal is a key part of Governance & Innovation for Digital Education (GUIDE), a new University-wide framework designed to support the development of education technology ideas – big or small, and at all stages of development.
A single entry point for all EdTech ideas
You can submit ideas, and receive targeted advice and guidance from central teams, with multiple development pathways through the portal.
You can also see what others are working on and identify opportunities for collaboration.
All submissions will be reviewed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor Education (PVCE) Portfolio, IT and faculty representatives to ensure alignment with both local priorities and University-wide strategy.
Submit your ideas
All staff are encouraged to submit their digital innovation ideas through the GUIDE Ideas Portal.
Ideas at any stage of development are welcome – whether you’re exploring a new concept, looking to improve an existing system or process, or proposing something ready to pilot.
Where appropriate, you can seek faculty input and endorsement to help refine ideas and align them with local priorities. Guidance on local endorsement processes is available.
Meet GUIDE
To celebrate the launch, the GUIDE team is hosting informal sessions across campus to help staff get started. These sessions are an opportunity to:
- learn how the portal and review processes work
- chat to the GUIDE team about your ideas and get practical advice for submission
- meet the project leadership team
- connect with colleagues interested in education innovation.
No preparation is needed – just drop in for a chat. Plus, you can say hello to Rose, GUIDE’s robotic dog! Lunch will be provided. Register now to secure your spot.
Visit the GUIDE SharePoint site to explore the framework, access resources and stay updated on upcoming initiatives.
