Botany Street Parking Station changes

The entrance and exit to Botany Street parking station.

To support construction of UNSW’s new G25 Education Building, the entry and exit at Botany Street Parking Station on Kensington campus will temporarily relocate.

The entry and exit to Botany Street Parking Station (H25) will move to the western end of the site in early May. Clear signage will be in place to guide vehicles.

This change supports construction of the new G25 Education Building (G25), now underway next to the parking station.

Delivered by UNSW Estate Management and FDC Fitout & Construction, G25 will provide more than 20,000 square metres of purpose-built teaching and learning space, including flexible classrooms, large teaching venues and dedicated student spaces. It will also become the new home for UNSW Science’s School of Psychology.

Parking changes at Botany Street

Parking adjustments at Botany Street Carpark are being introduced in stages as development progresses and to support industry co-location at the UNSW Health Translation Hub (HTH).

UNSW has allocated 45 parking bays on level 4B to Plenary-approved industry tenants to support delivery of the UNSW HTH, a major investment strengthening our research capabilities and industry partnerships. This allocation will increase in 2027 and 2028 to a total of 120 bays.

A new replacement lift will be installed next to the existing one later in 2026, with the existing lift removed as part of these works.
The carpark will remain open and accessible throughout construction.

What can you expect during construction?

As construction progresses, you may notice increased noise, vibration and activity around the G25 site, particularly during early works such as piling and excavation from late April to mid-year.

UNSW is working closely with delivery partners to minimise disruption through careful scheduling, monitoring and regular communication with the campus community.
