New training module for UNSW credit cardholders

A new training module is now available for all new UNSW credit card applicants and staff who are seeking to reactivate a suspended card.

Designed as a single source of truth, the module explains cardholders’ roles and responsibilities.

The module was developed in response to recurring pain points, including the absence of a single, formal source of training across UNSW. Without consistent guidance, new staff may learn incorrect processes, which can lead to delays in routine Finance activities.

The new training explains cardholders’ roles and responsibilities under Westpac’s Terms and Conditions, the UNSW Finance Policy and the UNSW Code of Conduct.

What does the module cover?

The module takes approximately nine minutes to complete and includes:

  • scenario-based learning about common credit card issues
  • links to relevant Finance resources and the Finance Intranet
  • a short quiz to confirm participants’ understanding.

The content also provides guidance for staff who have previously misused their UNSW card and are seeking reactivation after suspension.

Who needs to complete the training?

All new credit card applicants and cardholders seeking to reactivate a suspended card are enrolled automatically.

While new applicants are required to complete the module, it is also recommended for existing UNSW cardholders so that they have a consistent level of training.

Self-enrolment is not available, so please contact CFO Support (at cfo-support@unsw.edu.au) to be enrolled.

The training is available via Moodle (UCREDT course code).
