Submit your proposal for Education Festival 2026

EduFest returns on Monday 23 November 2026, bringing together educators and learning and teaching practitioners from across UNSW.

This year’s theme, ‘Where Technology Meets Pedagogy’, will explore the opportunities, interplay, affordances and challenges at the intersection of technology and learning and teaching.

This year’s EduFest program will also feature D2L Brightspace, UNSW’s future LMS. Sessions will give educators an opportunity to explore the platform and contribute to conversations about how it can support learning and teaching at UNSW.

“UNSW’s Education Festival brings colleagues together to share ideas, learn from one another, and help shape the future of education at our University. This year’s theme encourages us to explore the intersection of pedagogy, and to share the innovative ways our colleagues are using technology to enhance learning and teaching across the University,” says Professor Christine Mathies, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Education.

EduFest val also plays a key role in celebrating the crucial contribution of educators at UNSW and fosters cross-disciplinary sharing that can help successful initiatives reach more people across the University.

Colleagues from all faculties and divisions are invited to submit a proposal sharing your insights and experiences on this year’s theme and one of these sub-themes:

• Assessment x AI, including UNSW’s three new modes of assessment
• Technology x Inclusive Learning and Teaching
• Technology x Indigenous Knowledges
• Technology x Collaborative and Experiential Learning
• Unpacking the intersection: pedagogy and technology.

Submit an expression of interest

Expressions of interest (EOIs) are open to all staff for:

• Short presentation (5–10 minutes)
• Poster presentation, as a physical poster or on screen.

The festival will feature a condensed program, with the main activities taking place on Monday 23 November.

Submissions close at 11.59pm on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
