Live jazz and half-price house drinks, 4-7pm, Thursday 30 March

Say goodbye to daylight saving with a late afternoon of jazz on the terrace. Book a table and head to the Lounge for half-price house drinks and live music with two of Sydney’s jazz greats, Phoebe Haselden (violin) and Dorian Mode (keys).

Ms Haselden started her love affair with the violin at three years old and it’s been a fixture on her shoulder ever since. She has performed on the Opera House mainstage and toured both locally and internationally, including France and New Zealand. Her music flows and swings from her fingertips, she locks in tight, and plays with impeccable timing and feeling.

Mr Mode is a multi-award-winning jazz musician. He is signed to EMI Records – one of the few local jazz artists to be signed to a major in Australia. He released his debut CD Rebirth of the Cool with jazz luminaries Bernie McGann and others. He has recorded numerous CDs earning an ABC Music Award for Best Instrumental and Best Jazz Composition, the latter was published in the Australian Jazz Real Book.

Book a table now so you can enjoy hearing these jazz legends swing at The Lounge 4-7pm, Thursday 30 March.
