UNSW’s Finance Masterclasses return this September with sessions designed to give you clear, practical skills to make your everyday work smoother, faster and less frustrating.

Registration is now open for all staff. You can register for both sessions or just the one that best suits your needs. 

Session 1: Everything Purchasing

Get familiar with the latest purchasing processes and the finance essentials.

This session is ideal for anyone involved in buying, receipting or managing vendor interactions.

Topics include:

• UNSW Buying Guide: key finance concepts 
• purchase orders: what they are and how to use them
• vendor setup and invoice payments 
• receipting for goods and services.

Session 2: Expense Management

Learn how to navigate UNSW’s reconciliation software with ease. This session will help you work smarter in Concur, reduce your workload and avoid common pitfalls.

At this session, you’ll:

• receive practical guidance on how to correctly reconcile out-of-pocket expenses, credit card transactions and supporting documentation requirements in Concur
• gain an understanding of UNSW expense policies and compliance requirements to ensure expenses are processed accurately and on time
• explore common expense processing errors and tips to avoid delays, rework and audit issues
• have the opportunity to ask questions and receive advice on credit cards, financial delegation and managing expenses.

Participants will receive a resource pack after each session to support ongoing learning.
