Do you have a Will?

Creating a Will is an important step in protecting the people and causes you care about.

It’s not something many of us like to think about, but having a valid Will ensures your wishes are clearly documented, reduces stress for loved ones and helps avoid unnecessary legal complications after you pass. It lets you decide how your assets are distributed, who will care for dependents or pets and how your legacy is carried forward.

Yet, despite its importance, around 40% of Australians don’t have a Will.

How can you get started?

EveryWill is offering UNSW staff a free, year-round Will-writing service to make planning ahead simpler and more accessible. You can begin the process online anytime, with legal professionals reviewing your Will to ensure compliance, clarity and peace of mind.

A UNSW staff member recounted their experience using the service:

“Because a Will is a such an important legal document, I must admit feeling a bit dubious about using an online platform.  I was more than surprised and totally impressed with creating my Will on this portal.

“The whole process was straightforward, in layman’s terms and simplified in a way that was easy as 1-2-3 to complete.  From providing for family and friends to including pets and causes that were important to me, assistance was there every step of the way when needed. My Will was also reviewed by a legal professional before the final process of being signed and witnessed.

“I enjoyed the convenience and experience this afforded me.”
