UNSW’s Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) has launched the SME Scaling Suite, a new initiative designed for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) working in clean energy and recycling. It’s tailored for organisations ready to take the next step in developing and scaling deep technologies.
What can you access?
The SME Scaling Suite brings together research, engineering expertise and investment into one streamlined offering:
- Engineers: Dedicated electrical engineers from the UNSW Technology Translation Squad, embedded in your project to solve technical challenges
- Researchers: World-class researchers and specialised equipment to fast-track R&D and de-risk early-stage innovation, with up to $30,000 in matched R&D Voucher funding per project
- Investors: Strategic early-stage seed funding to help you move from validation to scale, from a dedicated pool of $2.1 million.

The program provides a leg-up for SMEs looking to combine their technical capability with funding and industry support. The goal is to produce practical outcomes and contribute towards a sustainable future by allowing businesses to advance climate technologies to market.
