To celebrate UNSW’s partnership with the Waratahs, the Super Rugby team are offering all staff and students a free double pass to their match against the Sunwolves on 7 July at Allianz Stadium, Moore Park. To claim your complimentary double pass, please register via Eventbrite, using the password TAHSUNSW, before 5pm on Thursday, 28 June. Seating will be in General Admission.

The Sunwolves are newcomers to the Australian conference and will play their first Super Rugby match in Sydney on Saturday 7 July. The NSW Waratahs came out as winners in the inaugural clash in Tokyo in 2017, so they will be keen to keep their winning streak going.

UNSW announced in December 2017 that it had partnered with the NSW Waratahs in a deal which would provide access to elite athlete resources and high-performance facilities to the University and wider community, as well as create further opportunities for engagement with charity, youth and community groups.

Waratahs players Ned Hanigan and Andrew Kellaway are current students at UNSW, creating an even stronger connection between the University and the rugby club. Hanigan has also been capped 12 times by Australia.

The Waratahs’ head office and training facilities are now temporarily located at UNSW’s David Phillips Sports Complex.
