Enjoy some nourishing ‘brain food’, celebrate a tomato festival and support LGBTQIA+ youths this August.
August is packed with promotions and specials at The Lounge, including a new menu, so head over and get involved in as many as you can.
National Science Week
UNSW is proud to take part in this annual celebration of Australia’s best innovations and brightest minds in science, medicine, technology and engineering. To support National Science Week, The Lounge is serving a ‘brain food’ themed dish of cedar baked salmon with kale, bonito, brown rice, a seven-minute egg and toasted seeds. It’s the perfect way to fuel your brain for the second half of the day and best served paired with a non-alcoholic Sorzero beer made by UNSW Alumni.
Available during lunch service, from Monday 11 until Friday 15 August.
La Tomatina at The Lounge
Enjoy a taste of the famous Spanish festival with an all-tomato lunch special of pappa al pomodoro, a cherry tomato soup served with sourdough, stracciatella and basil pesto.
Available during lunch service all week from Monday 25 until Friday 29 August.
Wear purple on Friday 29 August for a free hot drink
Wear it Purple Day aims to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for young people who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Help raise awareness and support the day by wearing a little purple to claim your free coffee or tea.
