Remember to complete Refresher@UNSW.
The 30-minute All-Staff Mandatory Refresher Training must be completed within 30 days.
At UNSW, creating a safe, inclusive and supportive community is everyone’s responsibility. Every day, our decisions and behaviours help shape the culture we want to see — one that protects our people, upholds our Values, and ensures we meet our legal and ethical obligations.
That’s why on Monday 9 February 2026, UNSW launched the new All-Staff Mandatory Refresher Training, a streamlined 30-minute module designed to keep our shared knowledge up to date and our community safe.
What's in the Refresher?
Refresher@UNSW brings together the most important updates from the three core mandatory modules; Working@UNSW, Safety@UNSW and Security@UNSW, and covers the content UNSW is legally or contractually required to deliver each year.
Why does it matter?
Mandatory Training is one of the simplest ways we keep each other safe. The Refresher:
- helps prevent harm before it occurs
- ensures we all understand our obligations
- supports good decision-making
- reinforces the respectful, secure and inclusive culture we want at UNSW
- helps UNSW meet important legal and contractual requirements.
Who needs to complete it?
All fixed-term, continuing and casual staff who commenced in 2025 or earlier will be automatically enrolled on Monday 9 February.
Staff who start in 2026 will complete the three core modules this year and the Refresher the following year.
Accessibility
A Plain Language version is available on request. Staff or managers can email the Learning & Development Team to opt in or discuss additional accessibility needs.
When and how do you complete it?
The module went live in Moodle on Monday 9 February 2026 and is available to all enrolled staff. You will have received a launch email with a direct link to access the course.
To stay compliant, you are expected to complete the Refresher Training within 30 days of enrolment. If you have any concerns about meeting this timeframe, please speak with your manager.
ompleting the Refresher is an important way you can contribute to a safe, informed and positive culture at UNSW. Thank you for doing your part.
