Early and mid-career researchers are invited to submit expressions of interest for practical in-person training.
UNSW’s News & Content team is inviting early and mid-career researchers to submit an expression of interest (EOI) for their research communications training program. The program supports researchers to communicate their work clearly, responsibly and confidently to non-specialist audiences.
“Following a successful pilot, the most recent session received highly positive feedback, with 90% of participants rating the day 4 or 5 out of 5,” said Isabelle Dubach, Senior News & Content Manager. “There was also a 27% increase in self-rated confidence communicating research beyond academic audiences.”
The full-day, in-person training focuses on practical skills including plain-English writing and responsible research communication, through a mix of presentations, a panel and hands-on exercises.
Early and mid-career researchers are encouraged to apply via the online form (open year-round and training delivered once a quarter).
