This October, join a wide range of events supporting you to address and improve your wellbeing.

At UNSW, the health, safety and wellbeing of staff are vital. So, you are invited to join UNSW Wellbeing and UNSW Health & Safety for a diverse program of staff events to mark Health, Safety and Wellbeing Month.

There are many ways to support and promote your health, safety and wellbeing, including exercise, good nutrition, family support, preventative health checks and strong social connections.

Events during Health, Safety and Wellbeing Month

Health Checks

A health check is a valuable opportunity to take control of your wellbeing. Choose one of three dates – Thursday 2, Friday 17 or Thursday 23 October – to make an appointment. During the check, a clinician will perform a pin-prick blood test to check your glucose and cholesterol, check your blood pressure, assess cardio risk and have a lifestyle chat with you. The clinician will give you a resource pack with results, helpful information and a GP referral if needed.

Book your appointment.

Skin Checks

Experts predict that two in three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer before the age of 70. The good news is that 95% of skin cancers can be successfully treated if detected early. Book a consultation to have your skin checked on one of three dates – Tuesday 21, Wednesday 22 or Wednesday 29 October. A registered nurse will run consultations in Room G033 in the Quad Building (E15).

Book your appointment.
