A welcoming new space for students to learn, connect and grow alongside their peers in South West Sydney is set to open for students in early 2026.
The Liverpool Study Hub will be a community-driven space designed for university and VET students, managed by UNSW as part of a federal Department of Education initiative. It will also be open to senior high school students exploring pathways into further education.
The Hub attracted strong early interest at the recent UNSW Open Day with future students commenting that they were excited to learn about a place close to home in Liverpool where they can study for free and meet other students in their community.
Located at TAFE NSW Liverpool, the Hub will provide tertiary students from any public institution with access to modern study facilities and a wide range of individualised academic and personal support services.
The Hub builds on UNSW’s more than 35-year-long presence in the Liverpool region and our ongoing commitment to providing inclusive, accessible pathways to higher education.
More information about accessing the new Hub and the on-site support will be shared closer to opening. Students who live in South West Sydney are encouraged to express their interest.
The Liverpool Study Hub is supported by the Australian Government through the Suburban University Study Hubs Program, and UNSW Sydney. It is one of five Study Hubs in the Greater Western Sydney area, including:
- Liverpool Study Hub (opening 2026)
- Fairfield Connect Study Hub (opening October 2025)
- Mt Druitt and Emerton University Study Hubs at MECA (now open)
- Macquarie Fields Study Hub at TAFE Macquarie Fields (now open).
More information about the UNSW Greater Sydney project is coming soon.
