Delivering professional high-impact virtual events, the Streaming Studio is located in the Scientia Building on the Kensington campus.
Purpose-built for livestreaming, hybrid panels and on-demand video production, the Streaming Studio aims to elevate audience engagement and the event experience. Equipped with studio-grade lighting, multiple camera angles and custom graphic integration, the studio transforms academic, strategic and research content into broadcast quality.
The Strategic Events team, who manage the streaming studio, provide professional services in pre-production, delivery and post-production editing.
Chaseley Cameron, Associate Director IUCA, led UNSW’s contribution to the Right Here Right Now Global Climate Summit and used the Streaming Studio for a 24-hour global broadcast organised by the University of Oxford.
“It was a complex streaming brief, and the team went above and beyond to help us deliver an outstanding event on a very visible global stage,” said Chaseley.
“I was very proud of how UNSW and our incredible speakers were showcased. The entire team were so professional — providing not just comfort to our speakers, but also to us.”
UNSW’s segment for the Oxford summit combined pre-recorded and live content. The team blended in-studio speakers with virtual presenters across multiple time zones. It was a powerful demonstration of the studio’s capacity to deliver high-calibre, collaborative virtual content on an international stage.
The team also support faculty announcements, staff town halls, keynote recordings, research interviews, training modules and podcasts. The space is ideal for both live and pre-recorded content, including on-demand learning videos and internal communications.
“Our team and the supervisors are extremely happy with how the videos turned out,” said Annie Sharbeen, Research Training Coordinator, after producing a PhD supervisor training series in the studio.
“I will definitely reach out if I need to produce more videos, and I will also spread the word about how awesome you guys are!”
