UNSW Founders has partnered with The George Institute for Global Health and JEINA (Justice Inclusion Access) to launch South West Sydney’s first health entrepreneurship program.
This joint initiative from UNSW Founders, The George Institute for Global Health and JEINA, will support the next generation of health innovators in South West Sydney. It will provide funding, mentorship and career development opportunities for entrepreneurs in the region – especially migrant, refugee and CALD women founders.
This partnership is attached to programs run by UNSW Founders (Liverpool and New Wave) and will roll out through the Impact X Pre-Accelerator.
Funding and scholarships available
In total, $41,000 in non-dilutive funding will be awarded to accelerate health and entrepreneurial ventures from South West Sydney, including:

- Roseus Scholarships – two $10,000 scholarships for migrant and refugee women selected into the Impact X Pre-Accelerator (Health stream)
- JEINA Inspire Grant – up to $4000 to encourage participation from women in the Liverpool community

Building inclusive innovation
This initiative builds on UNSW’s long-standing presence in Liverpool and reflects its commitment to inclusive, community-driven innovation. The program aims to create real impact through health and medical ventures in Greater Western Sydney, which is home to over 2.5 million people – including 20% of UNSW students and 14% of staff.
Applications are now open, until Friday 19 September and successful applications will be notified by Friday 26 September.
