We’re well and truly into Term 2 at UNSW Sydney and myTimesheet is now live for our Casual Academic employees.
With Casual Academic, Casual Professional, Fixed-Term and Continuing Professionals all using myTimesheet, UNSW has reached a major milestone in creating a single, University-wide platform for time sheeting. This is a key step forward in enhancing record keeping and sustainable pay confidence at UNSW.
What are some of the key changes?
The move to myTimesheet brings some important changes for Casual Academics:
- OneContract: a new master employment contract covers a Casual Academic for periods you are engaged by UNSW.
- Statements of Duties (SoDs): more than 4000 SoDs have been issued for Term 2 outlining the types of work expected, anticipated number of hours and the rates of pay for each duty. SoDs will be created each term.
- Fortnightly timesheets: Casual Academics now submit timesheets every fortnight which are then approved by your manager. This change moves us towards a culture of positive time reporting, to enable pay accuracy.
Together, these changes mean we can better deliver on our shared responsibility and commitment to paying people accurately and on time.
What do you need to do?
It’s important for all managers and their staff to understand your role in the new process. We all have a responsibility to ensure UNSW staff are paid correctly for the work you do.
