Arts, Design & Architecture’s School of Art & Design is proud to present the 10th annual Sydney Craft Week from 9 to 18 October.

Originally an initiative of the Australian Design Centre (ADC), the much-loved festival celebrates creativity and the handmade in all its forms. Following ADC’s closure in 2025, UNSW Art & Design – longstanding supporters of the festival – has stepped in to deliver a rich program of events, workshops, markets, open studios and talks, embracing the festival's theme of 'Community'.

Professor Alison Gwilt, Head of School, says, “Sydney Craft Week is a celebration of the diverse makers and community participation that are at the heart of Sydney’s cultural landscape and reflects the values at the core of our school and faculty.”

UNSW students and staff can experience events across Sydney, from basketry to quilting, glassblowing, and more. Don't miss festival highlights at UNSW Paddington campus, including the Makers' Market on Saturday, 10 October, 10am – 4pm, Menindee Loop Stitch In and Roly, a year-long collaborative Stitch-In workshop alongside Julie Paterson, on Tuesday, 13 October, 10am – 4pm, and Lumifold crafting paper lamps on Thursday, 15 October, 6pm – 8pm.
