We have more answers to  the many thoughtful questions raised during our 7 September all-staff Town Hall announcing D2L Brightspace as UNSW’s new Learning Management System (LMS). You’ll find the questions and answers on the LMS Program SharePoint, with this edition focusing on technology, tools and integration.

Many staff are keen to understand how Brightspace will work with existing Learning Tools Interoperability (LTIs), plug-ins and other technologies that you use today. While Brightspace offers a wide range of native capabilities and integration options, it’s important to note that decisions about future integrations will be an integral part of the Design Together work.

The LMS Program is currently planning detailed discovery work, including auditing our existing LTIs, plug-ins and applications, and understanding more around the suite of functions available within Brightspace. The findings will help shape Design Together, our University-wide engagement and co-design program. 

Through Design Together, faculties, students and professional services teams will help determine future LMS integrations and capabilities, ensuring they meet the needs of our community and support a better student and teaching experience. Your input as a community will provide certainty around many of the questions you’ve asked to date.
