Spend some time with your colleagues on Thursday 11 September and hear from R U OK? Day co-founder Graeme Cowan.

R U OK? is a national movement that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times in their lives.

Join your colleagues in the Science Theatre at 2pm on Thursday 11 September for a special event for all staff, followed by afternoon tea.

Guest speaker Graeme Cowan is a founding board director of R U OK?, the author of four books, a senior leader and has lived experience of depression. He’ll share his journey building an R U OK? 365 Culture.

You will learn how to:

  • support teammates or loved ones in distress through meaningful conversations
  • identify struggling colleagues
  • ask R U OK? with empathy
  • guide colleagues or loved ones to appropriate help
  • build individual resilience using Graeme’s 15-point self-care snapshot
  • identify “mood vampires”
  • embed small daily habits that boost mood and performance.

There’ll be a Q&A, and afternoon tea will be served in the Science Theatre foyer after the event.

Join the event in person or online. Registration is essential.
