The survey launches on Wednesday 3 September, giving you an opportunity to share your experience of working at UNSW.
At UNSW, our people are central to delivering on our new strategy, Progress for All. Whether through research, education or engagement, each and every person at UNSW plays a vital role in creating impact and driving progress.
To support this, the University is committed to listening to your experiences and acting on what matters most to you. One way to do this is through the Insight staff engagement survey. It helps in understanding how the University is tracking against commitments to culture, leadership, inclusion and safety, and where to continue to improve.
Insight survey launches on 3 September
All current staff members will be invited to participate in the Insight Survey next month. You will receive an email with the survey link and it will take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.
What’s been achieved so far
Since launching the first Insight Survey in 2023, the University has heard what matters to you. You said you wanted to see more focus on innovation and leadership, so an Innovation Working Group was established, which made key recommendations leading to the creation of the UNSW Innovation Hub. Leadership development has also been expanded, with more than 700 places offered across six leadership programs in 2025.
Your feedback in the 2024 Pulse survey said you have seen some of these improvements, with both leadership and innovation rating more favourably.
Faculties and divisions have focused on the actions that mattered most to them, including improving recognition, balancing workload and strengthening collaboration.
Find out more about action that has been taken in response to your feedback so far and Insight 2025, including our new Resources Hub.
