UNSW is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the Higher Education Awards hosted by The Australian Financial Review.

Now in its sixth year, the prestigious awards recognise innovation and achievement in Australia’s higher education sector.

In 2019, UNSW had an overwhelming response, receiving over 30 EOIs with an entry in every category. Congratulations to Professor Richard Buckland’s SECedu for progressing to the finals in the Learning Experience category.

It would be fantastic to see the University’s innovative programs and initiatives acknowledged with a win this year.

Only one entry per institution per category is permitted. To determine the best submissions, UNSW will undertake an EOI process.

The 10 award categories are:

  • Community Engagement Award
  • Education Technology Award
  • Emerging Leader Award
  • Employability Award
  • Equity and Opportunity Award
  • Sustainability Award
  • Industry Engagement Award
  • International Education Award
  • Learning Experience Award
  • Lifetime Achievement Award (unlimited entries)

To apply, please read the awards submission guidelines.

If you are interested in nominating you must complete the EOI form and return to Julia Jones: j.jones@unsw.edu.au by 5 pm Monday 18 May

A panel will assess all received forms on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, with successful candidates to be advised by Monday 1 June.

Candidates will then prepare a 500-word nomination and send to the Corporate Communications team by Monday 22 June.

If you have any questions see the Awards website or contact CorporateComms@unsw.edu.au.
