Staff are invited to recognise the outstanding contribution of Mr David Gonski AC, as he concludes his time as Chancellor.
David has been an exemplary leader whose dedication and impact have helped shape the fabric of our University for the last two decades.
He’s been an advocate for UNSW and the broader higher education sector, engaging with government, industry, the not-for-profit sector and international partners to advance our mission. His influence and insight have helped shape policy and strengthen our reputation across Australia and globally.
During his tenure, David has led campus development, steered the University through global challenges and helped elevate UNSW to be one of the world’s top 20 universities.
Beyond formal duties, David fostered a culture of philanthropy, innovation and inclusion at UNSW. His legacy is reflected in the partnerships and initiatives that have flourished under his guidance.
