Grants of up to $2500 are available to UNSW Sydney students and staff to deliver events and activities during the festival in September.

The annual UNSW Diversity Festival brings students and staff together for a week of free events and activities. The festival aims to ignite important conversations about how we can foster a more inclusive society where everyone can participate and feel a sense of belonging.

Diversity Festival 2024 will be held throughout the week of 16–20 September.

Grant applications are now open

UNSW students and staff are again invited to contribute to the festival program, which is shaped each year by our community. Grants of up to $2500 are available for events and activities that address topics including, but not limited to:

  • disability community
  • diverse sexualities, sexes and genders

  • mental health and neurodivergence
  • widening participation
  • sustainability and sustainable development.

Applications for creative and diverse event formats are encouraged, although traditional formats such as conferences or panel discussions are also welcomed. These could include:

  • art exhibitions
  • creative or technical workshops/demonstrations
  • film screenings
  • live music and performances
  • online events
  • social gatherings
  • webinars.

Applications close on Monday 10 June. All applicants will be advised of the outcome of their submission by the end of June.
